"Rising stars" recognized by Millstein Center

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Michael P. McCauley and Tracy Stewart of the $159 billion Florida State Board of Administration, Tallahassee, and Catherine Jackson of the C$108.5 billion (US$105.8 billion) Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Toronto, are among 56 professionals under the age of 40 named as “rising stars of corporate governance” by the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the School of Management, Yale University.
Glass, Lewis & Co., the San Francisco-based proxy advisory firm, had more staff selected as rising stars than any other organization: Warren Chen, Todd Fernandez, Jun Frank, Nichol Garzon-Mitchell, Carla Topino and Brittany Wedereit.
The honorees were nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of leaders from the Millstein Center; the Open Compliance and Ethics Group, a non-profit organization that promotes integrating governance, risk management and compliance processes; and the International Corporate Governance Network. Selection criteria included accomplishments, idea leadership, reputation among industry leaders and potential to influence the industry in the future.
“This is the first year we are recognizing the next generation of corporate governance leaders,” Ira M. Millstein, senior associate dean for corporate governance at the Yale School of Management, said in a statement about the selections.
